This was our view atop the ‘Rim of the World Highway’ (route 18) on our way to Arrowbear, CA and indeed it felt a bit like the Rim of the World! We were up at around 5000 ft in elevation, and we hadn’t reached our destination yet! It was a beautiful sight as it snowed the night before but the sun came out and melted some ice just in time for our trip up. The snow capped mountains were on the left. We treated ourselves to some snowy views that I never imagined could’ve been in California as we played knee deep in the snow that day!
Below is my view of Anza Borrego as we were heading down the mountain on S22. If this photo looks familiar, it’s because I wrote about our adventures to Anza Borrego here. This view never fails to amaze me everytime we go.
Another familiar photo perhaps? 🙂 This was my favorite view from the end of the Pictograph trail/Smuggler’s Canyon (Anza Borrego), and I wrote about it here. I was looking into Vallecito Valley. It was a sheer drop off so I got as close to the edge as I could…from that point, it sloped downward.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend! 🙂
