This was my view walking towards the starting line for the LA Marathon…the energy from over 24,000 fellow runners was strong and the crowd was so dense that although officially the race began at 7AM, I crossed the start line at 7:13AM, and I had to walk rather than run for the first quarter mile or so until the crowd thinned out a bit.
